Let’s stop building fortresses of narcissism through hoarding, we’re all in this together aren’t we? Toilet paper shortage is the comic relief in this situation but it’s not really funny. We’ve hoarded resources from the Earth too, we need to move beyond this mentality. I hope the new normal could be, take what you need, nothing in excess of that. When I’m in the grocery store and the shelves are empty, I’ll admit that my urge is to buy the last whatever, because it’s still there. As humans were so afraid of scarcity but that causes more of it. We need to stop that way of thinking and work together. Be well everyone.
Hoarding=Greed=Scarcity

No hoarding here either not because the people aren’t greedy because they cannot store it. Also we have many small grocery stores well stocked up.

Good message. I haven’t seen toilet paper here in about two weeks. And most of the food is not around either. So we’ll see if people get the message soon.

Same here, no TP luckily I still have some. Food looks scarce. I’m getting take out from restaurants to help them stay afloat and I’m a terrible cook. People are afraid, but fear doesn’t usually help situations.

No fear does not help usually. Good take out is still open. I hope things get better sooner than later. It helps to stay together and support each other. All the best!

I agree. We should focus on love and appreciation.

Yes. “Focus” on these things and hold them tight like the things that mean the most to us.

I’ve seen people stockpiling last it’s the apocalypse. It is amazing to go to the store and see the paper towel/ toilet paper shelves completely empty. Why people can’t just be sensible is beyond me.

Yes, I feel depressed going to the grocery store because of the hoarding. I noticed today that they’re selling toilet paper by the single roll now, 1 per customer. No one’s smiling anymore except the cashiers trying to keep morale up and more people are wearing masks. We need hope to get through this together.

I noticed the toilet paper thing too, that’s funny you mention it. Also they have blue lines taped to the floor six feet apart at the checkouts. Crazy times, Judy..

I know, the blue lines are so weird! I had to wait in line outside, just to get inside!

I haven’t experienced the super long lines yet, thank goodness.

The lines used to be crazy in the Whole Foods near me, now it’s moderately busy.
