Poem: Witch Doctors

Scientists are modern day witches
concocting big pharma warfare spells
Voodoo virus needles sing
Franken-GMO soy corn wheat
tomatospiderrottenpigsfeet
plant animal DNA soup sting
all spliced together farm fresh.

Just because you claim a thing
Doesn’t make it yours
Just because you can
It doesn’t mean that you should
Cross-check to see what
you’re adding or subtracting is good
They’d patent the sky if they could.

  3. Scientists are modern day witches is a very good point and all their genetic splicing here and their genetic snipping there certainly does come across as a modern day concoction of an old fashioned witches’ brew with its frogs’ legs, toads’ tongues and eye of newt.

    And patent the sky if they could… yes, Bill Gates is already proposing blocking out the sun.

    I guess that’s one rapid way of ending global warming.

    1. They seem to have no conscience or sense of morality. Gates is the worst, pretending to be a scientist and somehow he gets away with it. He wants to block the sun, the source of energy that we need the most. Just like “the Matrix” and no ones stopping him.

  5. Such a strong ending. Everything in the world was already here for us to survive; any thing made after that was most likely unnecessary. Modern medicine has much practical use but we often forget about all the natural cures that already have are here. I often wonder why science doesn’t take time to look at more natural medicine and more holistic approach, but then that wouldn’t be in line with big business and money. Almost everything can have short term and long term side effects, and can hurt us if not done in moderation. Sometimes it feels as if we’ve forgotten these two things.

    1. Thank you. I think that food is the best medicine and agree that everything we need to survive is already here naturally, so many medicines in the rainforests. I have a feeling that major diseases like cancer have already been cured but big pharma cares about profits only. Humans are so intelligent but so misguided, we could solve so many problems if we had the right priorities and good people in leadership roles.

      1. Yeah. Exactly. We have so much there but we haven’t even studied enough of it yet. And too much has been lost to history or to modernity. This (big yes): “Humans are so intelligent but so misguided, we could solve so many problems if we had the right priorities and good people in leadership roles.” Perhaps too much of a focus on the wrong things.

      2. That’s true we focus on the wrong things (greed, competition and endless technology), I wonder if it’s human nature to miss out on what’s here/real/important because we’re so distracted. There’s so much good all around us but we don’t support it :(.
