Epic Poem: Changed: Part 1

This is the real world we live in, don’t believe the MSM
I really didn’t change
I just shifted my perception.
When Politics changed around me
I started to question
What’s the true agenda?
What are They selling?

I still believe in what I used to
even though it doesn’t exist anymore.
I believe in peaceful assembly
I believe in equality
I believe despite
all the misguided hate—-
We’re still a family.

I used to be a feminist
until they radicalized into
prostitutes who hate men
I used to be a Liberal
until I understood
what it really meant.

I thought I was doing the right thing
thought I was choosing compassion
until I realized that Charity’s
dolling out government rations.
Charity’s a permanent crutch
a mind fuck trap of victim hood.

If you’re down, stay down—-
stay plump and caged
on our corporate plantation.
Be owned by our measly poverty checks
food stamps/EBT and public assistance
that only squeeze out just enough
to keep you in debt
diseased and imprisoned.

I don’t pretend that we’re the same
but I’m not afraid of our differences
our differences don’t make us rivals.
I don’t feel sorry for you because
We’re separate but equals.

We can learn from each other
We can build a peaceful future together.
When we stop the lies and distractions.
We can start a revolution of knowing.

As long as the identity politics
of false victim superiority
and *Marxist propaganda exists
They’ll keep us angry,
bigoted and divided.

I’m not arguing
that slavery never existed.
We should never forget
that injustice
so it’ll never be repeated.
But the way things are going
a new scapegoat class is forming
and Nazis in the guise of liberals
are reforming our world.

I’m not pretending that
discrimination isn’t real,
I’ve directly experienced it.
But few care about racism
against Asian model minorities.
Stay meek and invisible.

I’m saying that Permanent Victimhood
isn’t something to take pride in.
is the lost art of Self-respect
This generation lacks self-awareness
they’re too busy taking selfies.

Be proud of your excellence
not aimless rebellion.
Everyone has beauty and worth to share
Let’s focus on that.
Diversity is our true strength
it’s not just a hashtag or trend.

Burning and looting
just destroys what little we have
to keep going and surviving.
Destroying the poor folks’ Dollar Store
doesn’t resolve anything
just makes the impoverished and elderly
struggle harder, walk farther
to get what they can afford.

Black folks with a capitalized
*Associated Press acknowledged “B”
if you refuse to play their game
They’ll brand you again, as a racist
like they did to the political activist,
Candace Owens who speaks the truth powerfully.

I love her fierce intelligence.
They call her Uncle Tom
because it’s easy for fools
to throw stones and *“soup cans”
and frozen water bottles
at cops and conservatives.

Defame them by labeling them
as alt-right lunatics
*Ashli Babbitt’s death deserves justice
not double standards.
They won’t even release the name
of the Capital pig that killed her.
Yes you heard me right.
Not all cops deserve respect
but many of them do.

White Racists do exist
but they’re not the huge threat
that msm propaganda’s
fear-mongering affects us paranoid.
White supremacists
are just a handful
of uneducated idiots.

They’re a braindead minority
without a power source.
The real threat of racists
are the ones involved in politics.
Just look at the *US President
he can’t help but show
his condescending ignorance.

  1. 👏🏻A definite standing ovation for this poem.

    Powerful phrasing throughout.

Particularly love the line, “A new scapegoat class is forming and Nazis in the guise of liberals are reforming our world.”

    1. Thank you my friend 🙏 I wrote both parts today but thought it was so long that it should be shared in parts. Liberals are the new nazis, backed by big brother corporations:(.

    1. Thank you, WG. Part 2 might offend some people but I hope not. The most manipulative thing that the liberals have done is to silence everyone else’s voice by labeling them as racists. I think it fuels my need to speak out and stand up to their lies. Candace is impressive, I don’t know who else is running but I think she’s be a much better President than Biden in 2024.

  2. What an outstandingly powerful, honest and unique voice this poem lends to the challenges of our times – when the world has forgotten what is real amidst an overflow of narratives

    1. Thank you, Ananda. I’m grateful that you feel that way about my poem. I feels difficult nowadays to express personal perceptions without worrying that someone will be offended. I wish we could be real with each other again.

      1. We can – one person at a time – the world is filled with truth seekers and those willing to embrace the contradictions of reality . Most important is to preserve within us the ability to see things as they are ❤

      2. I love what you’ve written, clear perception is needed very much. I have a deep hope that things will be alright, at least in the end, I believe love will always win. 💖

    1. Thank you my friend. It’s amazing how history happens and repeats but few notice it while it’s happening. I hope people stop it from continuing. It might take even more injustice for people to stand against it.

  3. This is my favorite stanza
    I’m saying that Permanent Victimhood
isn’t something to take pride in.
is the lost art of Self-respect
    This generation lacks self-awareness
    they’re too busy taking selfies.
    Nicely done.

    1. Thank you, Pat. I think victim hood is the new trend, seems like there’s no accountability anymore. I admire people that come from struggle but they push through the obstacles. My parents were like that and they instilled a respect for hard work in me. I shouldn’t judge everyone from the new generation but overall I worry for the future. The culture seems purposefully uneducated and shallow as if they were indoctrinated to be that way.

  4. Nicely done my friend. Lots of truth in this piece. Let’s hope within our lifetime my friend we will see the scale swing heavy on the “love and acceptance of all.”
Stay well and blessed my friend. Love ❤️ Joni
